Eric - House 5
Eric was born February 11, 2004. Currently he is 7 years old. It was the school that Eric attended that alerted the authorities that something was not right with Eric’s home life. It was soon discovered that there was total negligence on the part of their parents to look after the basic needs of their many children.
The parents were gone for long periods of time, leaving the children to beg for food from the neighbors. They would be totally unkempt, full of lice and under dressed in the cold of the winter.
When the parents would show up they were drunk and would often argue with each other at knife point.
As a result of this, the children have psychological trauma. Not only would the parents neglect their children, but each one would come home at times with other lovers which made matters worse. In the end, the neighbors took the Children in and cared for them as best they could.
Eric has been placed in our 5th home with houseparents Anselmo and Loreni. His oneyear-old sister, Maria Eduarda has been placed in our second home.
