Paulinho - House 3
Paulo Rodrigo was found abandoned on Friday the 11th of February 2005, after several frustrating attempts to locate him by the social workers council of Campo Bom. When they finally found him, his mother didn’t want to give him up. He was brought to the homes on February 15th, 2005 and was placed in the same home where brother and sisters already live. When he came, he didn’t bring personal clothing or a vaccination card. He had several sores on his feet so his house mom took him to the medical out clinic for medicine where he got some vaccines and a routine check-up.
He is now 6 years old and enrolled in pre-school. He has big dark eyes, almost black. He is often seen running around without a shirt, playing with the other boys. He is a very friendly little boy and he is not shy at all.
Paulo was involved in the filming of our educational DVD recently. He also likes to let the girls who are learning to cut hair, do his haircuts. Please countinue to pray for his ajustment here.
January 2007 Update: Paulinho is 8 and in 2nd grade. Paulinho has made a decision for Christ but has not been baptized yet. At church he sang in the Christmas cantata, goes to Sunday School and Jr. church. He loves to play ball, with his toy cars and legos. He has improved greatly in school and in his behaviour at home. He loves to read, is obedient and always a faithful friend. He is very spontaneous and will all of a sudden give people a big hug!
Main Prayer Request: That he would grow in faith and continue to do well in school.
2008 Update: Paulinho is nine years old and in grade three. He is now learning how to read and making some progress in this area. His chore at home is to sweep the sidewalk and garage area. He smiles a lot and likes to hug. In his spare time he enjoys soccer and spending time on the computer. Paulinho is active at Sunday School and in Boys’ Club at church. He enjoys singing and helping out with the activities. He has accepted the Lord into his heart.
Please pray that Paulinho will grow spiritually and apply himself to his school studies. Especially pray that he will listen to his teacher at school.
2009 Update: Paulinho has been playing a lot of basketball and soccer lately and is really improving in his skills. At school Math and Portuguese are his difficult subjects and he is asking for prayer for his biological mother.
