Ezequiel - House 4
Ezequiel was born October 08, 1998. Currently he is 11 years old. He and his brother Isaque came to us from a halfway house in Novo Hamburgo where they have been for the past year-and-a-half.
Ezequiel and Isaque have another six brothers and sisters in other institutions and another 2 are already grown up. One of the brothers is in jail for killing their father. He committed the murder once he could no longer take the father abusing his younger sisters.
Ezequiel has a very sad history of abandonment, neglect, and physical violence, that has resulted in him being shuffled around by the authorities since 2003. His mother has a long history of alcohol abuse.
Ezequiel is in grade 4. He has repeated grade 3 because of lack of stimulus on the part of any adult in his life. He learns with difficulty and, understandably, struggles with many emotional issues including a low self esteem due to his mother abandoning him and the other siblings.
Ezequiel is happy that he will be living at Chain of Love. The authorities have noted that he needs a family model in his life, permanent relationships and parental attention. Chain of Love exists for kids just like Ezequiel. He will be placed in house 4 with house parents Cezar and Marli along with his brother Isaque.
