Lais - House 8
Lais was born August 09, 1999 and is currently 10 years old. Lais and sister Bruna who came to Chain of Love have another 4 brothers and sisters who have been adopted out.
The childrens’ mother is a drug user and does not work. She scrounges off friends and relatives moving around like a nomad. She stays for only a short time with any of them as she ends up fighting with all who take her in.
Lais does have a grand mother, but the girls want nothing to do with her. There is no news of any father. She and her sister have been in a girl´s home for several years but cannot stay there because the home is for those who have problems with substance abuse and Lais and her sister do not have this problem.
Chain of Love will provide a substitute family for Lais and her sister. We have placed her with houseparents Nair and Enaldir in House 8.
Lais is very expressive and dynamic. She loves to eat and to play. She is also quite outright. When she visited the homes for the first time she asked if there is a pool and if we have satellite TV! She is presently in grade 3.
